TIP OF THE
WEEK
OVERHEADS
On the overhead as you set to hit this shot, try to position your body sideways
to the net. If your right handed, position the body with your chest to
the alley and your non racket shoulder to the net. As you move back from
a deep lob remember to get this position established and use cross over
steps on retreating back away from the net. This will insure good balance
as you hit this shot.
Remember the 4 basic moves for the overhead
1. Pivot sideways
2. Draw the racket back behind the neck
3. Non Racket hand up to find the ball
4. Move the feet to get in the correct spot
Have a great day on the tennis court.
