TENNIS BALLS
A tennis ball is a tennis ball --right? Wrong ! There are many grades of balls. As an example, Penn makes 25 different balls for tennis! Balls come in various types. There are high pressure balls, grass court balls, clay court balls, and of course hard court balls. Within the hard court ball category, there are many grades of covers and types of rubber construction. At the Racquet Corner we carry only the premium balls for hard courts that we and our customers have tested and found to have a true bounce and a longer wearing cover. These balls simply last longer and retain their pressure longer. Thus, they are really less expensive over the cheaper balls that wear out faster and loose their bounce more quickly. Premium balls cost only slightly more. We sell all premium balls for $2.98 per can. We have been very impressed with the Dunlop Grand Prix and Wilson US Open and the Pro Penn.   And give the new Wilson Pro Staff ball a try.   Try these balls, You will love them!

STRINGS
Most common strings consist of a solid center core surrounded by one or two rows of filaments. If you would like more "feel" and control, try multifilament strings. These strings contain many hundred individual fibers. An additional bonus-multifilament strings are very elbow and arm protective.

RACQUETS
If you are thinking about a new racquet to improve your game, don't buy until you have demonstrated the racquet. You must "try before you buy" or you could be wasting your money. Racquets vary so much in the areas of power, control, weight, feel, etc. It costs nothing to check out a "demo" model at the Racquet Corner .   Maximize your game with the racquet that fits your game and budget. All racquets always discounted at the Racquet Corner .

SHOES
Have you ever worn a pair of performance tennis shoes? There is a huge difference between "athletic shoes" and tennis specific shoes. A tennis specific shoe has at least three special qualities. #1 A tough, abrasion resistant sole ( many with a six month wear warranty) #2 Deep cushioning - so important on hard courts. The deep cushioning helps protect your ankles and knees. Some of the new technology, like Wilson's DST system does not break down with repeated use. #3 A firm heel cup. Tennis is a game that takes your foot in all directions. Stability is so very important. Planting your foot with an inadequate heel cup leads to ankle and knee strains. All performance tennis shoes are always discounted at the Racquet Corner .

Clothes

If your racquet and shoes are state of the art, why shouldn't your clothes be?   Fabrics that wick moisture away from the skin keep you cooler which means you can perform at peak efficiency for longer periods of time.   That means more wins for you!   Come in and see our extensive line of "Performance" clothing!

Arm Problems?

Ask us about all the factors that contribute to tennis elbow and what we can do to help!

And don't forget we offer the best in racquetball , squash , badminton and table tennis as well.

That's what makes us your full service racquet store!
